The view from one angle over the kitchen and hanging out tents

Another view

I arrived at Immerstadt station at 8.30 this morning, the sun was shining and it was a beautiful warm day. I was instantly blow away by the scenery. Glorious green mountains surrounded the town and little houses could be seen scattered. I made my way to P3 car park where I got a ride up to the Europe Centre. The view from the Europe Centre was even more spectacular, due to it being higher up than the town. The lake below glistened in the sun and the mountains were vast.

After registering I set up my tent and went exploring around. I met lots of lovely people, many old friends and made some new ones. I helped out at lunch time in the kitchen – counting how many people entering. The kitchen as extraordinary! It is as big as the dining tent, very well organised and pristine. In the main hang out tent there is internet, a café, a juice bar, the shop, a play area for kids and a meeting area! It is truly remarkable and I am constantly being impressed about the effort, organisation and amazement of this course.

The rest of the day was spent relaxing and then the evening was spent listening to Lama Ole’s introductory lecture J lovely. Then it was off to bed to sleep in my cosy tent as I felt a cold coming on.
